AHVG Round Wicking Pot Insert

The AHVG Round Wicking Starter Kit has been designed to fit into smaller pots than the WaterUps Wicking Starter Kit. With a diameter of 410mm, it enables your pots to be easily converted into self-watering pots. With a built in water reservoir of ~13L, your plants will have access to perfect soil moisture for days/weeks, depending on what you plant and the time of the year. The in-built reservoir provides a low maintenance and sustainable watering supply to help your plants stay happy and healthy. As the planter uses a fraction of the water compared to a conventional pot, it can be left for extended periods without the need to constantly water.

Extras needed but not included:
2.5L perlite and soil – we recommend BioGro Premium Wicking Mix. The quantity of soil needed will depend on the volume of your pot.

Installation instructions
Ensure your pot has drainage holes at the bottom.
Place WaterUps round wicking cell in pot.
Click the WaterUps Inlet pipe into position.
Put starter kit into your pot.
Add perlite to the 4 wicks.
Add gravel or perlite around the outside of the starter kit to the level of the starter kit.
Cover starter kit and gravel/perlite with a piece of geotextile fabric.
Add soil.
